India need to win remaining matches to stay in hunt for T20 World Cup Trophy
India keep their hopes alive with a win against Pakistan. However, they need to beat Sri Lanka and Australia with a huge margin to improve their run rate and qualify for the Semis. The Women In Blue will face Sri Lanka on October 9 in Dubai and the Aussies on October 13 in Sharjah. Following their victory against Pakistan, India find themselves in fourth place in the Group A Points Table. The India team has an inferior run rate of -1.217. New Zealand and Australia are sitting at the top of the table.
If India manage to beat Sri Lanka and defending champions Australia with good margin and New Zealand also beat Australia then the Kiwis and the Indian team will have a good chance to move up to the semis.
A win for both India and New Zealand over Australia would mean that the Aussies would be stuck on four points, even if they beat Pakistan.
However, it is easier said that done as Australia has a better record against India in T20 World Cups.
