Poll strategist Prashant Kishor, who transitioned into politics, announced the official launch of his new political party, called “Jan Suraaj Party,” in Patna on Wednesday. During the launch event, Kishor mentioned that the party has been operating for the last two years and was recently granted approval by the Election Commission of India.

Prashant’s party received Election Commission’s approval

Given approval by the Election Commission, the Jan Suraaj Party is now poised to participate in all constituencies in the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections.

In a subtle jab at the Opposition’s scrutiny of his party’s reported connections to the BJP, Kishor claimed that the Jan Suraaj Party is a blend of both RSS and minority interests.

Prashant emphasized need for a major transformation of Bihar’s educational system

Speaking at the gathering, Prashant Kishor emphasized the need for a major transformation of Bihar’s educational system, projecting that an investment of Rs 5 lakh crore will be necessary in the next ten years to reach international quality standards.

Kishor argued that the state could redirect the approximately Rs 20,000 crore lost annually from the liquor ban towards educational reform.

“When the liquor ban is removed, that money won’t go into the budget for roads, water, electricity, or security for leaders. It will be used only for building a new education system in Bihar,” he said, underscoring the urgency of investing in the state’s future.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
