The victims linked up using a ride-sharing app for their trip
A crash involving multiple vehicles in Anna, Texas, resulted in the deaths of four Indian citizens, three of whom are from Telangana. The quartet had linked up via a ride-sharing application for their trip to Bentonville, United States. The crash, which included five cars, happened when a fast truck allegedly didn’t brake in time and crashed into the SUV they were in, leading it to catch fire.
The victims recognized were Aryan Raghunath Orampati from Hyderabad, Farooq Shaik, Lokesh Palacharla, and Darshini Vasudevan from Tamil Nadu. Aryan, residing in Bentonville, was on his way back home from visiting his cousin in Dallas.
Lokesh was en route to Bentonville to see his wife, while Darshini, who had a Master’s degree from the University of Texas at Arlington, was heading to visit her uncle.
Family belongs to Rayachoti
Subhash Chandra Reddy, who is Aryan’s father, is the owner of Max Agri Genetic Private Limited located in Kukatpally, Hyderabad. The family is originally from Rayachoti but has made their home in Nizampet, Hyderabad.
Aryan finished his engineering studies at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham in Coimbatore.

In May 2024, parents traveled to the US to attend his graduation ceremony at the University of Texas Dallas. Following graduation, Aryan was requested to return to India, but he informed his parents of his desire to work in the United States for an additional two years before coming back. “This is how destiny has unfolded,” a relative of Subhash commented.
Farooq Shaik, who is also from Hyderabad, had finished his MS degree in the US and was residing in Bentonville. Masthan Vali, a retired worker, conveyed the family’s sadness and stated that his daughter, who also lives in the US, is managing the issue.
Officials are utilizing DNA fingerprinting with teeth and bone remnants to verify the identities of the victims.
