PM Modi serves langar at Patna Sahib Gurudwara, Bihar
Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Takht Sri Harmandir Sahib Gurdwara located in Patna City on Monday (13 May 2024) on the second day of his Bihar tour.

Earlier, as a part of the campaign for the Lok Sabha elections, PM Modi held a spectacular and mega road show in Bihar’s capital Patna on Sunday evening. During the road show, Prime Minister Modi was seen standing on a saffron colored vehicle made in the shape of a chariot decorated with flowers and accepting the greetings of the people by waving hands.
On Monday morning, on the second day of his two-day visit to Bihar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Takht Shri Harmandir Ji, the birthplace of Guru Gobind Singh Ji and marked his presence. During this, the Prime Minister was seen wearing a saffron colored turban.
Prime Minister Modi paid obeisance at the Gurudwara and served langar. During this, the Prime Minister was welcomed with dignity. Special preparations had already been made by the management committee for his arrival.
The PM will address election rallies for NDA nominees in Hajipur, Muzaffarpur and Saran on Monday.

PM Modi arrived amid tight security
As soon as the news about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s arrival in the Gurudwara was received, security arrangements were tightened here. The local police and administration team were seen on high alert mode.
Barricading was done from Kangan Ghat to Gurudwara via Chowk police station. Policemen were also seen deployed on the rooftops of the buildings around the Gurudwara.
PM Modi is the first Prime Minister to reach Patna Sahib. BJP candidate from Patna Sahib and former Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad was also present with him during this period.

Takhat Sri Patna Sahib Gurudwara
One of the five Sikh takhats, Takhat Sri Patna Sahib, also called Takhat Sri Harimandir Ji is situated in the state capital. The construction of the takhat was commissioned by Maharaja Ranjit Singh in the 18th century to mark the birthplace of Guru Gobind Singh.
The tenth Sikh Guru, Guru Gobind Singh, was born in Patna in 1666. Moreover, he was raised here before moving to Anandpur Sahib.
