The “It” pair in Bollywood and sports, Virushka- Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma, have been invited to the consecration event on January 22, 2024, where the idol of Lord Ram Lalla will be erected at the magnificent Ayodhya temple along with many other Bollywood celebrities. Numerous A-list celebrities from other professions have also been invited to the consecration ceremony, including Amitabh Bachchan, Kangana Ranaut, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, and Ayushmann Khurrana.
Kohli became the latest cricketer to be invited for the ceremony. Former cricketers like Sachin Tendulkar and MS Dhoni have also been invited for the ceremony. On January 13, Tendulkar received the invitation at his residence in Mumbai, while Dhoni was invited on January 15.
As Ayodhya gears up for the landmark ceremony, Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged all ‘Ram Devotees’ to not flock to the city on the day of consecration, saying the public can visit the temple once the formal program is finished on January 22.
PM Modi will preside over this historic event, which is the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ of Ram Lalla’s idol at the big temple. In Ayodhya, there will be a ceremonial enthronement of Ram Lalla at the sanctum-sanctorum of the shrine.
Kohli made a return to the shortest format of the game after a gap of over 14 months when India took on Afghnistan in a three-match T20I series.
