Vikramaditya Singh to face Kangana

Major decisions were taken regarding Himachal in the meeting of the Congress Central Election Committee for the Lok Sabha elections 2024. In the meeting, names of candidates for two out of four seats of Himachal Pradesh have been decided. Vikramaditya Singh will be the Congress candidate from Mandi seat, who will contest against BJP candidate and actress Kangana Ranaut. Apart from this, the ticket of Vinod Sultanpuri from Shimla is considered confirmed.

Current MP from Mandi and Congress PCC Chief Pratibha Singh has informed that two-three names have been shortlisted by the party. Consensus has been reached on the name of Vikramaditya for Mandi seat. Before Kangana Ranaut was declared a candidate, sitting Mandi MP Pratibha Singh had said that she would not contest the Lok Sabha elections. When Kangana’s candidature was announced, Pratibha had said that the party high command will take the decision on her ticket. Finally the name of his son Vikramaditya Singh was approved.

Kangana’s comment on Vikramaditya

The decision on Vikramaditya Singh’s candidature has been taken at a time when Kangana had said that he had visited Delhi several times. He will be in our team soon. At the same time, two days ago in the market, Kangana had sarcastically said that I have found such king’s sons everywhere. Also met in the film industry. These king’s sons, not me, it was I who made them disappear from my film.

Mother of Vikramaditya and state party chief Pratibha Singh said she does not care about the remarks Kangana Ranaut has been making against Vikramaditya and added, “I have won the seat even in difficult circumstances.”

Kangana did not take anyone’s name. But Vikramaditya Singh comes from the royal family. Because of this, Congress expressed strong objection. Deputy CM Mukesh Agnihotri said that she (Kangana) is still new in politics. They should learn manners. At the same time, CM Sukhu also said that the comments made on Himachal Congress are unfortunate.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
