Vishwa Hindu Parishad demands screening of Junaid Khan’s Maharaj before release
There is less than a week until the premiere of Maharaj, which marks the debut of Aamir Khan’s son, Junaid. However, the film appears to have incensed the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP).
According to Bollywood Hungama, the organization’s youth wing, Bajrang Dal, has written to its producers, Yash Raj Films, and the streaming behemoth, Netflix, requesting a viewing of the film before its global release on June 14.
Gautam Ravriya, VHP-Bajrang Dal’s Konkan region coordinator, personally submitted a letter dated June 3 to Netflix and YRF.

Vishwa Hindu Parishad raises objections over movie scenes
It states that the film’s poster portrays a Hindu religious leader negatively. As a result, the author of the letter feels that the video may offend some members of the audience and may spark a law and order problem.
Toward the end of the letter, Gautam Ravriya insisted that the VHP watch the film before deciding on the next steps.
