Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis stated on Monday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would remain in charge of the nation for several more years ahead.
The Chief Minister’s comment was in response to Shiv Sena UBT leader Sanjay Raut’s assertion that on Sunday, PM Modi visited the RSS headquarters in Nagpur to inform Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat about his retirement.
While addressing journalists in Nagpur, Fadnavis remarked, “In 2029, we will witness Modi as Prime Minister once more.”
“There is no requirement to look for his replacement.” “Fadnavis stated, ‘He (Modi) is our leader and will persist.'”
The Chief Minister remarked that talking about succession while the leader is still in office is unsuitable in Indian culture.
“In our society, discussing succession while the father is still alive is considered inappropriate. That is Mughal culture. The moment to address it has not yet arrived,” he stated, alluding to Raut’s assertion that Modi’s successor would emerge from Maharashtra.

What Sanjay Raut claimed?
On Monday, Raut asserted that the RSS desires a shift in the political leadership of the nation.
“He (Modi) probably went to RSS headquarters to write his retirement application in September,” Raut claimed, alluding to some leaders in the ruling dispensation retiring at 75.
PM Modi turns 75 in September this year.
During his initial trip to the RSS headquarters in Nagpur since assuming the role of Prime Minister 11 years prior, Modi on Sunday characterized the Sangh as the ‘banyan tree’ of India’s eternal culture.
