Swati Maliwal undergoes medical check-up at AIIMS
According to a medico-legal case report, AAP Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal sustained internal injuries in her face after being reportedly assaulted by an aide to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Maliwal spent more than three hours on Friday at AIIMS, Delhi, having a medical examination.
The Delhi Police, meanwhile, has stepped up its hunt for Bibhav Kumar, Kejriwal’s aide, a day after filing a formal complaint in relation to the incident. After a Delhi Police squad recorded Maliwal’s statement at her home, an FIR was filed.
Swati Maliwal was examined by a medical team for around four hours on Thursday night. A Delhi Police team accompanied Maliwal when they arrived at AIIMS at 11 pm and left at 3.15 am.
Delhi Commission for Women member Vandana Singh Maliwal also accompanied her for the medical check-up. An X-ray and CT scan were performed.

Delhi Police files complaint against Bibhav Kumar
Following a four-day period of quiet over the incident, Delhi Police has registered an FIR against Bibhav Kumar based on a complaint filed by Swati Maliwal.
Swati Maliwal has claimed in her lawsuit that she she was physically assaulted and hit multiple times on “sensitive body parts,” said the police sources.
Meanwhile, the Delhi Police has stepped up its investigation into the matter. A police team arrived at Bibhav Kumar’s house, but he was not found.
Approximately ten police teams are looking into the matter; out of which are tracking Bibhav’s whereabouts. According to sources, Bibhav might be in Amritsar. Police also suspect Bibhav could be in Maharashtra where a rally of the INDIA bloc is scheduled to be held in the state.

On Thursday evening, a two-member police team led by Assistant Commissioner of Police PS Kushwaha met Maliwal, incommunicado since the alleged assault, at her home to seek details and record a statement. The meeting took around four hours, officials said news agency PTI. This was hours after the National Commission for Women issued a summons to Bibhav Kumar.
The police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) against Kumar for assault, criminal intimidation, and outraging a woman’s modesty under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code.
Swati Maliwal was allegedly assaulted by Bibhav Kumar at the CM residence in Delhi’s Civil Lines area on Monday.
