Entrepreneur Robert Vadra on Tuesday reached the Enforcement Directorate’s office in Delhi after the investigative agency summoned him regarding a money-laundering investigation associated with the Shikhopur land transaction in Haryana.
These were the second summons sent to him for inquiry regarding the case. Outside the ED office, Vadra was spotted greeting reporters with a wave.
Vadra was first called for questioning on April 8
Vadra was summoned for questioning on April 8. Nonetheless, he did not show up before the investigative agency.
While he was present for questioning and speaking to reporters, he stated, “We told the ED we were organising our documents, I am always ready to be here. I hope there’s a conclusion today.”
“There is nothing in the case. When I speak in favour of the country, I am stopped, Rahul is stopped from speaking in the Parliament. The BJP is doing it. This is a political vendetta,” Vadra said.

“People want me to join politics”: Vadra
“People love me and want me to join politics. When I express my willingness to join politics, they bring up old issues to bring me down and divert me from the real issues. I have been summoned 15 times and have been interrogated for more than 10 hours every time for the last 20 years. Organising 23,000 documents is not easy,” he said.
“It is the misuse of the agencies. I am considering coming into politics that’s why they are doing this. Will they take 20 years to get evidence in the case?” he asked.
ALLEGATIONS AGAINST VADRA
Accusations have been made that Robert Vadra endorsed Skylight Hospitality, purchasing 3.5 acres of land for Rs 7.5 crore in Gurugram in 2008. The property was subsequently sold to DLF for Rs 58 crore.
In September 2019, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) initiated a corruption case, claiming that public officials from the Haryana government and other suspects deceived landowners as part of a criminal conspiracy.
Subsequently, the ED filed a case, claiming that the assets were laundered.
