In an Instagram statement, Ravindra Jadeja accepted responsibility for the mistake on the first day and expressed regret for Sarfaraz Khan‘s run-out during the Rajkot Test.

When Jadeja attempted to get the single to complete his fourth Test hundred, Sarfaraz was batting on 62. It was too late for the all-rounder to send the rookie back to the non-striker’s end, though.

Mark Wood’s straight toss to the stumps ended Sarfaraz’s amazing knock in Rajkot. Even Rohit Sharma, the captain of India, became enraged by this and hurled his cap on the ground in the pavilion.

Fans criticised Jadeja harshly on social media as well. Now, the all-rounder has released a statement in which he expresses regret for the decision that went wrong and even commends Sarfaraz for his innings.

“Feling bad for Sarfaraz Khan. It was my wrong call. Well played,” read the statement on Jadeja’s Instagram story.

Sarfaraz Khan on Run-Out
During the press conference, Sarfaraz would talk candidly about his run out and express gratitude to Jadeja for helping him through the innings. The 26-year-old claimed that the all-round player would approach him and explain that there had been a misunderstanding.

“I was being guided through the innings by Jadeja. I should stay in the crease for a while, he added, and the runs will come. He approached me and stated, “There was a small miscommunication.” I didn’t mind at all,” Sarfaraz said.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
