Two-time Olympic medallist PV Sindhu has dropped to World No. 15 in the latest BWF rankings. She dropped three places in the rankings. According to the most recent women’s singles rankings, which were released on Tuesday, Sindhu has slipped to No. 15 in the world.

Sindhu has seen a considerable decline in her ranking since the start of the year. She entered the 2023 season ranked seventh in the world but has been out of form since and as a result fell out of the top 10 in April. In April 2017, she attained her career-high position of No. 2 in the world, as per Olympics.com.

After returning from a protracted injury layoff, the 27-year-old, who won the gold medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, has struggled with her form this season.

This year, PV Sindhu made a comeback and competed in the Malaysian Open and Indian Open, although she was eliminated in the first round of each competition.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
