A man killed his daughter by hacking her to death, then tied her body to a bike, dragged it down the street and dumped it on some railway tracks in Punjab’s Amritsar district, according to police. The event took place on Thursday, and surveillance video of the crime has also surfaced.
According to an initial investigation, the accused killed his daughter because he had doubts about her character.
According to police, the girl had stepped out of the house and when she returned, the man killed her using sharp weapons. Police said the reason behind the murder is yet to be known.
“We also received information that the accused confined his family members at home and threatened to kill them as well. Due to fear, they couldn’t leave the house,” a police officer told reporters. The police are conducting a search operation to arrest the accused.
