President Droupadi Murmu extended Janmashtami greetings on Monday (August 26) and emphasized the importance of following Lord Krishna's teachings for the nation's advancement.

President Droupadi Murmu extended Janmashtami greetings on Monday (August 26) and emphasized the importance of following Lord Krishna’s teachings for the nation’s advancement.

In a post on X, President Murmu extended her greetings to all his fellow countrymen on the holy festival of Janmashtami. “This festival motivates us to be committed to the sacred principles of Lord Shri Krishna. Let’s absorb the teachings of Lord Shri Krishna and commit to working for the advancement and prosperity of the nation on this occasion,” she tweeted.

PM Modi extends wishes to the nation

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also extended his wishes to the people on Janmashtami. On X, PM Modi wrote, “Wishing you all a very Happy Janmashtami. Jai Shri Krishna!”

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also extended greetings

Congress leader and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi also extended wishes and posted on X, “Hearty wishes and congratulations to everyone on Shri Krishna Janmashtami. I hope that this festival of joy and happiness fills the life of all of you with new enthusiasm and excitement.”
