In a phone call that underscored the strengthening strategic partnership between India and Russia, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Vladimir Putin discussed deepening bilateral cooperation, particularly in defense, energy, and trade.
The conversation comes at a time of global economic uncertainty, notably with rising tensions between the U.S. and China over tariffs imposed by former President Donald Trump. While the Trump-era tariff policies continue to influence global trade dynamics, Modi and Putin emphasized the need for a multipolar world order and resilient supply chains.
