PM Modi chairs NDA’s parliamentary meeting
Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired the National Democratic Alliance’s (NDA) parliamentary party meeting on Tuesday, his first address to the ruling bloc’s MPs during the first session of Parliament since taking office for a third term.
During the discussion, the Prime Minister encouraged the NDA MPs not to behave as Congress leader Rahul Gandhi did in the Lok Sabha.
The Prime leader, referring to the opposition, also stated that no prime minister since Jawaharlal Nehru has been able to win three consecutive terms, a feat accomplished by a ‘tea-seller’.
The NDA meeting coincides with deliberations in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha on the Motion of Thanks to President Droupadi Murmu’s address to a joint session of Parliament.

Following the meeting, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju told reporters, “Today, the Prime Minister gave us an important mantra.” He stated that each MP was voted to the House to serve the nation. Regardless of which party they belong to, devotion to the nation is our primary responsibility.”
“Every NDA MP must prioritise the country. The PM also provided us with excellent guidance on MP conduct, stating that each MP should present the issues affecting their constituency in the House in accordance with the rules. He also advised us to gain skills in other significant areas of interest,” Rijiju stated.

“The Prime Minister also made a request. Every MP, along with their families, should visit the Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya, which has no political objective. This was an effort to make the entire country aware of each prime minister’s contribution, respect it, and learn from it,” the Union Minister stated.
Speaking to reporters about the meeting, Union Minister and LJP (Ram Vilas) leader Chirag Paswan stated, “Learning from the Prime Minister’s experience is especially important in light of recent violations of Parliamentary traditions. “We received his advice on it today.”
PM Modi is likely to respond to the discussions in both Houses later today.
According to official sources, all members of Parliament from the BJP and its allies were informed of today’s meeting and invited to participate.
