The reality is more amazing than shocking. In spite of knowing the deadly bare fact we really are not willing to throw plastic out of our life!

Researchers are the second scientists. They discover if they invent. As per the researchers, plastic waste kills a human being every thirty seconds in developing countries

Christian charity group Tearfund reveals that in the developing world, plastic waste is responsible for a death every thirty seconds.

Vice-president of Fauna & Flora International, Sir David Attenborough sadly refers to plastic pollution as an “unfolding catastrophe.”

This is one well-known catatstrophe invited by humans and they ain’t enough reluctant to keep it.

Now here comes the fact requiring our attention. The researchers have found an unfortunate reality out of their data which says that between 4 to ten lakh people die each year from diseases such as cancer caused by residing closely with mismanaged plastic waste.

A breeding ground for rats, flies and mosquitoes, the plastic garbage serves as the reason for malaria and dengue fever. As the accumulation in waterways, plastic waste also causes flooding that can spread waterborne diseases.

The kids who are exposed to the plastic pollution are doubly prone to catch intestinal bugs like cholera, which is extremely dangerous and  deadly as well.

You know what the major contributor to the issue is? – The single-use plastics shipped from wealthy countries to the developing ones. As per the researchers, Britain alone exports 650,000 tons of plastic waste every year to countries like Indonesia and Malaysia.

“No Time to Waste,” is a reality as well as a report which says, a double-decker busload of plastic waste is burned or dumped in developing countries every second. This is not it.

The burning of plastic waste then causes around one-fifth of the 3.7 million deaths around the world in developing countries that are attributed to air pollution each year.

Sir Attenborough tells that this reports informs about the deadly impacts of plastic pollution not only on wildlife but also on the world’s poorest people.

The question is, can’t we all stand on the same page of a firm resolution to throw away the most spread sollid poison around us..even if we do not get an alternate to it?

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
