Video shows Ghori asking sleeper cells to carry out attacks on trains across India
Indian intelligence agencies have heightened their vigilance following the discovery of a video in which terrorist Farhatullah Ghori instructed sleeper cells in India to launch attacks on trains nationwide. Sources have informed that Ghori, a militant on the run, orchestrated the explosion at Rameshwaram Cafe in Bengaluru with the help of a sleeper cell and the backing of Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).
The video depicts Ghori, a long-time target of Indian intelligence agencies, urging sleeper cells to disrupt India’s railway system. He discusses the different techniques of bomb explosions involving pressure cookers.
Ghori also discusses intentions to attack the oil pipelines in India, as well as Hindu figures. He claims that the Indian government is using the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) to target the properties of sleeper cells, thus weakening them.
“But we will return and shake the government,” Ghori is heard saying in the video.

Rameshwaram Cafe blast
At least 10 individuals sustained injuries during the explosion in Rameshwaram on March 1. On April 12, the NIA, who had taken control of the investigation on March 3, captured two main suspects, Abdul Matheen Ahmed Taahaa and Mussavir Hussain Shazib.
Although Taahaa was the one behind the plan, Shazib was reportedly the one who planted the IED at the well-known cafe. They were taken into custody at a lodge close to Kolkata, where they were residing using fake identities. The pair are reported to be part of the Islamic State (IS) group located in Shivamogga, Karnataka. Shariq, who belonged to the same module, conducted an explosion in Mangaluru in November 2022.
Farhatullah Ghori and Shahid Faisal have a solid sleeper cell network in southern India. Faisal was in communication with the suspects involved in the Rameshwaram Cafe explosion and acted as the supervisor in the case.
Who is Farhatullah Ghori?
Farhatullah Ghori, aka Abu Sufiyan, Sardar Sahab, and Faru, has been linked to various major attacks, such as the 2002 Akshardham Temple incident in Gujarat, which resulted in the deaths of more than 30 individuals and the injury of 80 others. He was also responsible for the 2005 suicide bombing at the Task Force office in Hyderabad.
According to Delhi Police, Ghori is reportedly leading the recruitment of jihadists online, as stated last year when three most-wanted terrorists were apprehended in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh. They exposed that Ghori was in charge of the terrorists.
A couple of months back, Delhi Police officially noted Ghori’s name when numerous terrorists from the Pune-ISIS group were apprehended nationwide. Authorities had alleged during that period that the ISI was operating dormant groups in India and enlisting youths to execute attacks.
