NSA Ajit Doval meets CPC’s Wang Yi in St Petersburg

Ajit Doval, the National Security Adviser (NSA), had a meeting with Wang Yi, a member of the Communist Party of China (CPC), during the BRICS National Security Advisers meeting.

The officials seized a crucial chance during the gathering in St Petersburg, Russia, to talk about and assess the current issues along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) and find ways to settle the remaining disputes.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to addressing LAC-related concerns

In the conversation, both parties reiterated their dedication to addressing LAC-related issues promptly, with a focus on stabilizing and reconstructing India-China relations.

The two countries decided to intensify their actions to achieve full withdrawal in the regions experiencing ongoing tensions.

Doval highlighted the significance of maintaining peace and tranquillity along the border

NSA Doval highlighted the significance of upholding peace and tranquillity on the border, emphasizing that a stable LAC is necessary for returning to normalcy in the overall bilateral relationship.

The Indian NSA emphasized the importance of both countries following the agreements and protocols that have been established over time.

Moreover, the two authorities admitted that the relationship between India and China is important not just for their direct interactions, but also for stability in the region and worldwide.

Apart from the discussions concerning LAC, Doval and Wang also shared opinions on broader regional and global issues, underscoring the significance of India and China working together to tackle changing security issues.

The gathering is viewed as a promising move in reducing tensions and improving communication between the adjacent nations, which have experienced strained ties in recent times because of border conflicts.

The talks took place during the BRICS security advisors meeting of Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa.
