A non-resident Indian who had just come back from the United States was attacked with a gun at his home in the Daburji region of Amritsar, Punjab on Saturday. Two individuals with weapons broke into Sukhchain Singh’s home and shot at him up close while his wife and child begged for his survival.

Singh, who sustained two gunshot wounds, is currently receiving treatment in the hospital. He is currently in a stable condition and has sustained injuries to his face and hands.

Singh’s CCTV camera captured the attack. The video displayed the attackers running away from the scene once their guns malfunctioned.

Sukhchain Singh who lives in the US had just returned to Amritsar

Sukhchain Singh, who used to reside in the US, came back to Amritsar approximately 20 days ago. Recently, he purchased a high-end car valued at Rs 1.5 crore. The armed intruders came into Singh’s house under the guise of asking about his car’s registration document and then began shooting at him.

Singh’s family members have requested for severe measures to be taken against the accused. Singh’s mother has stated that Singh’s first wife’s family was responsible for the attack.

The Amritsar Police Commissioner has been tasked by the government to act promptly on the issue. According to ANI, Sukhchain Singh’s family filed a police report against five relatives of his former wife.

Authorities have confiscated the security cameras at the home and launched an inquiry into the event, which has been exploited by the opposition to criticize the ruling AAP government’s handling of law and order.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
