The Center has reportedly given the National Investigation Agency (NIA) responsibility for the June 9 attack on a pilgrim bus in Reasi, according to sources.
Sunday’s high-level meeting was chaired by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, when the decision was reached. In order to duplicate the effective counterterrorism operations carried out in the Jammu and Kashmir valley, Shah sent orders to the army, paramilitary forces, and intelligence services.
NIA Takes Over Investigation After Terror Attack on Pilgrims’ Bus in Jammu and Kashmir
Reportedly, the NIA took over from the Jammu and Kashmir police and filed its own First Information Report after commencing its own investigation.
Terrorists attacked a 53-seater bus carrying pilgrims from Shiv Khori temple to Mata Vaishno Devi shrine in Katra. The attack caused the bus to deviate off the road and fall into a deep gorge close to Teryath hamlet in the Poni district. The bus was transporting pilgrims from Delhi, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh. 42 people were hurt and nine people died as a result of the disaster.

According to officials, the NIA will look into any possible ties to a wider conspiracy that may be connected to the three previous incidents that occurred in Kathua and Doda on Tuesday and Wednesday of last week.
Enhanced Security Measures and Investigations in Jammu and Kashmir
Jammu and Kashmir police have reportedly questioned a number of persons over the past week, including some who may have been helping the attackers.
Home Minister Shah also emphasized the use of contemporary technology to address drone intrusions, find terrorist tunnels, and improve local intelligence networks during the meeting on Sunday.
He also emphasized the necessity of mission-oriented, efficient collaboration between security forces and intelligence institutions.
