In response to the devastating incident in Old Rajendra Nagar on July 27, 2024, which claimed the lives of three young students—Shreya Yadav, Tanya Soni, and Nevin Dalwin— NEXT IAS Institute has announced a series of support measures to assist the bereaved families and affected student community. Additionally, they extend their condolences to the family of Neelesh Rai, a UPSC aspirant who tragically lost his life due to electrocution on July 22, 2024.
NEXT IAS, under the leadership of CMD Birender Singh, has pledged to provide ₹10 lakhs each to the next of kin of the four students. While acknowledging that no amount of money can truly compensate for the loss of life, this financial support aims to offer some relief to the grieving families during this difficult period.
NEXT IAS Offers Free Classes and Reading Room Facilities to Support Affected Students
Understanding the academic disruption faced by students enrolled in the current session at Rau’s IAS Institute, NEXT IAS has announced that it will provide free classes to cover the remaining syllabus for these students. This initiative, which includes GS and Optional Foundation courses, is intended to help students affected by the tragic incident continue their education without further hindrance. Students are invited to visit the NEXT IAS office starting August 5, 2024, to avail of this support.
In addition to these measures, NEXT IAS is addressing the challenges faced by its own CSE Mains 2024 candidates, many of whom are suffering due to the shutdown of several libraries. To alleviate this issue, the institute is converting one of its classrooms into a reading room. This facility, available from 3 PM to 9 PM starting August 10, 2024, until September 30, 2024, aims to provide a conducive environment for uninterrupted study and preparation.
NEXT IAS Plans Class Resumption and Establishes Dedicated Student Care Cell
The institute is also exploring the feasibility of resuming offline and live online classes at its Delhi centre from August 5, 2024, subject to prevailing circumstances and in strict adherence to safety measures. NEXT IAS is implementing additional safety protocols in line with government guidelines to ensure the well-being of students and staff. The schedule of all classes will be communicated to the respective batches through official channels.
In a bid to offer continuous support, NEXT IAS is establishing a dedicated ‘Student Care Cell.’ This initiative aims to provide ongoing assistance and support to students, addressing their well-being and academic needs throughout their preparation journey.
