Kaamya Karthikeyan, a 17-year-old student from the Indian Navy Children’s School in Mumbai, has made history as the youngest female to conquer the tallest mountains on all seven continents.

Kaamya reached this impressive milestone on December 24 by climbing Mount Vinson in Antarctica. The ascent finished her Seven Summits Challenge, a renowned accomplishment in climbing.

Alongside her father, Commander S Karthikeyan from the Indian Navy, Kaamya triumphed over the 16,050-foot Antarctic summit, solidifying her reputation as an international mountaineering legend.

Kaamya’s adventure, starting at the age of 13, spanned multiple continents. She climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa, Mount Elbrus in Europe, Mount Kosciuszko in Australia, Mount Aconcagua in South America, Mount Denali in North America, Mount Everest in Asia, and lastly, Mount Vinson in Antarctica.

The Indian Navy praised Kaamya and her father, describing her accomplishment as a reflection of the unyielding spirit of Indian youth.

“It is a moment of pride for India and the Navy,” it expressed in a statement.

Kaamya initially received acclaim as one of the youngest climbers to reach the summit of Mount Everest. Her recent success motivates young explorers across the globe.

Speaking from Antarctica, Kaamya attributed her success to dreamers worldwide.

“Every summit imparted lessons on bravery, perseverance, and the beauty of our world.” “I wish for my journey to motivate others to chase their dreams,” she stated.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
