The Ministry of External Affairs has addressed the issues regarding the three Indian citizens who are missing in Iran.
“We are aware of these situations and maintain regular communication with the families of the three missing Indian citizens. It is said that they went on a business trip. Their families lost touch with them soon after they arrived in Iran,” according to the spokesperson.
The issue has been brought to the attention of the Iranian Embassy in Delhi and the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tehran.
The MEA and the Indian Embassy in Tehran are in contact with Iranian officials and have sought their help in finding the missing citizens and securing their safety.
Among the trio were Yogesh Panchal and Mohammad Sadeeque, who visited Iran in December 2024 under a 15-day visa exemption scheme for business reasons. They were last reported to be residing at a hotel in Tehran.
