The state’s home department announced in an order that broadband services had been restarted in Manipur on Tuesday under particular terms and with a user commitment that had to be signed.
However, mobile data service is still not available throughout all of Manipur.
The government declared a shutdown in reaction to the rising ethnic strife between the minority Kuki tribe and the Meitei group, which makes up the bulk of the population.
After over 80 days of no internet in the violence-hit state, the internet was partially restored on Tuesday.
The decision came after reviewing the continuous ban on internet services since May 3, which had affected various sectors, including offices, educational institutions, health facilities, and online citizen-centric services, said the order.
