The cyber cell of Maharashtra has summoned Rakhi Sawant, who featured on Samay Raina’s recently removed YouTube reality series India’s Got Latent.

The Bigg Boss contestant participated as a panelist in the 12th episode of the show, alongside YouTuber Aashish Solanki, comedian Maheep Singh, rapper Yashraj, and Balraj Singh Ghai, the owner of The Habitat. The actress is scheduled to give her statement to the Cyber Cell on February 27.

YouTubers Ashish Chanchlani and Ranveer Allahabadia are scheduled to provide their statements to the Maharashtra Cyber Cell on February 24.

Chanchlani has filed a plea in the Supreme Court to dismiss or relocate a Guwahati FIR that claims he is promoting obscenity to Mumbai.

The Supreme Court has acknowledged YouTuber Ashish Chanchlani’s request and has sent a notice to the governments of Maharashtra and Assam, asking for their input on the issue. The Supreme Court has also opted to link Chanchlani’s request with a comparable request submitted by YouTuber Ranveer Allahabadia.

Furthermore, the Cyber Cell will send a second summons to comedian Samay Raina after he did not show up for his planned statement recording on February 18.

“Maharashtra Cyber Cell sent a summons to Rakhi Sawant,” reported news agency ANI.

India’s Got Latent Controversy

It all started when Ranveer Allahbadia posed an inappropriate question to a contestant during the members-only episode of India’s Got Latent: “Would you prefer to watch your parents having sex or join them?”

The question, taken from a different YouTube program and endorsed by the panel, prompted laughter from the crowd and was enjoyed by the contestant. Nevertheless, it sparked anger as soon as the episode aired.

In light of the criticism, Ranveer Allahbadia released a public apology, recognizing a “lapse in judgment” and encouraging the producers of the show to eliminate the contentious segment.

Despite the segment being removed, the anger continued, resulting in numerous complaints and FIRs filed against Samay Raina and others. The Indian government subsequently instructed YouTube to remove the whole episode.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
