President-elect Donald Trump addressed supporters in Washington, D.C., on Sunday during his final rally before Monday’s inauguration. He laid out a sweeping vision for his second term, touching on key issues like TikTok, the Israel-Hamas ceasefire, California wildfires, and his aggressive executive action plans.
Key Highlights from Trump’s Speech
Executive Orders:
Trump promised immediate action upon taking office, pledging to sign over 200 executive orders on his first day. “Every radical and foolish executive order of the Biden administration will be repealed within hours of when I take the oath of office,” he declared.
TikTok Controversy:
He celebrated TikTok’s continued availability in the United States after the app narrowly avoided a shutdown due to a pending ban. Trump confirmed that he would issue an executive order delaying enforcement of the divest-or-ban law, stating, “Frankly, we have no choice—we have to save it.”

“I also want to send our love to everyone affected by the terrible wildfires raging in California. We’re praying for you all. We love you all,” Trump said. “We’re going to be there very soon. I’m going to go out there on Friday to see it and to get it moving back.”
The wildfires, which have claimed at least 27 lives and scorched an area larger than Paris, include two that are now the most destructive in Southern California’s history.

Despite the devastation, Trump has not spoken directly with California Governor Gavin Newsom since the fires began, maintaining his criticism of the governor and other Democratic officials. The president-elect labeled their fire management efforts as “incompetent” and described the situation as “one of the worst catastrophes in the history of our country.”
However, Trump sought to inspire optimism for the future, vowing to rebuild and look ahead to a brighter chapter. “Together, we will rebuild Los Angeles better, more beautiful than ever before,” he said. “We’re going to get it going. We have the best builders in the world. And in 2028, the Los Angeles Olympics will be one of the great sporting events and patriotic celebrations in history.”
