Kannada actor Chetan Chandra attacked by mob
A vengeful gang attacked Kannada star Chetan Chandra on Sunday, May 12. The incident happened in Bengaluru’s Kaggalipura. Chetan shared a video on Instagram where he opened up about his crucifying experience.
He clarified that the attack occurred on Mother’s Day while he and his mother were traveling back from a temple. He posted a video of himself with bloodstains on his face and clothing, and his nose was broken.
Sharing the video, Chetan Chandra wrote, “Very bad experience, need justice (sic),” with an emoji of folded-hands.

Chetan Chandra assaulted by 20 men
Chetan Chandra said that a drunk man chased him and then attacked his car. When he asked the man the reason for hitting the car, within a few minutes a group of 20 people came there and attacked him.
Chetan said, “I saw that a man was trying to rob them. So, I approached him regarding the car damage. A few minutes later, a group of 20 people, including a woman, gathered and started assaulting me.”
Chetan talked about his injuries while going live on Instagram. “Look.. what happened to me today. They assaulted me and broke my nose. I received initial treatment from the police….,” he said.

Chetan Chandra went straight to the police and lodged a complaint. A case has been opened at the Kaggalipura police station in response to the complaint.
This was an instance of road rage as the accused were drunk when they attempted to overtake the actor’s car. One person has been arrested and as the inquiry continues, more suspects will be found and arrested.

Chetan Chandra is a famous Kannada film actor. He has done some brilliant work in films like PUC, Premism, Rajdhani and Jarasandha. His television serial ‘Satyam Shivam Sundaram’ also became very famous.
Chandra is a graduate in Information Science Engineering and is married to Rachana Hegade.
