Operation Sindoor videos reveal India’s targeted strikes on nine terror hubs in Pakistan and PoK. The report details each camp’s role in recruitment, training, and infiltration, including links to Pulwama and 26/11. It further alleges Pakistani military support and the use of civilian infrastructure for cover, underscoring the systemic nature of cross-border terrorism.

New Delhi, India – May 7, 2025, 4:03 PM IST – In a significant and assertive move against cross-border terrorism, the Indian Army on Wednesday released extensive video evidence and detailed intelligence briefings outlining “Operation Sindoor,” a pre-dawn operation that precisely targeted nine key terrorist training camps and operational nerve centers situated within Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). The targeted infrastructure, meticulously identified and monitored by Indian intelligence agencies, was confirmed to be actively utilized by prominent and Pakistan-backed terror outfits, most notably Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM), along with the involvement of Hizbul Mujahideen (HM).

The video footage provided a clear visual confirmation of the Indian military’s claims of precision strikes. The imagery, likely captured by aerial surveillance and drone feeds, depicted a series of targeted explosions and structural damage inflicted upon the identified facilities. The level of detail in the footage suggested a highly coordinated and intelligence-driven operation, aimed at minimizing collateral damage while effectively neutralizing the intended targets.

Following the execution of the operation, the official communication channels of the Indian Army, including its social media platforms, disseminated a stark and unambiguous message. A digitally designed poster emblazoned with the title “Operation Sindoor” and the resolute statement “Justice is Served” underscored the operation’s objective as a direct response to the persistent threat of cross-border terrorism emanating from Pakistani soil.

The Nexus of Terror: Unmasking Pakistan’s Support Structure

The detailed briefing accompanying the video release painted a comprehensive picture of the deep-rooted nexus between Pakistan and these designated terrorist organizations. It reiterated India’s long-standing assertion that Pakistan provides a safe haven and logistical support for numerous terror facilities. These facilities, the report emphasized, are not mere isolated outposts but rather integral components of a well-established infrastructure dedicated to the recruitment, intensive training, ideological indoctrination, and ultimately, the infiltration of militants into Indian territory, particularly Jammu and Kashmir.

The intelligence dossier meticulously profiled each of the nine targeted locations, shedding light on their specific roles within the larger terror apparatus:

1. Markaz Subhan Allah, Bahawalpur (JeM): The Operational Citadel

Operational since 2015, Markaz Subhan Allah in Bahawalpur was identified as the central nervous system of Jaish-e-Mohammad. Beyond being a primary training and indoctrination hub for JeM cadres, it served as the group’s operational headquarters, the nerve center for planning and coordinating terrorist activities. The Indian intelligence directly linked this facility to the planning and execution of numerous high-profile attacks, most notably the devastating Pulwama suicide bombing on February 14, 2019, which resulted in the deaths of dozens of Indian security personnel. The compound also housed the residences of key JeM leaders, including the notorious Maulana Masood Azhar, the de-facto chief Mufti Abdul Rauf Asghar, and Maulana Ammar, further highlighting its strategic importance to the organization’s leadership and operational command.

2. Markaz Taiba, Muridke (LeT): The Breeding Ground of Extremism

Established in the year 2000, Markaz Taiba, situated in Nangal Sahdan, Muridke, Sheikhupura, Punjab, Pakistan, represents the principal training academy of Lashkar-e-Taiba. This sprawling complex encompasses extensive facilities dedicated to both physical and arms training, complemented by rigorous religious indoctrination aimed at radicalizing recruits drawn from within Pakistan and various foreign countries. Intelligence estimates suggest that this facility serves as a critical radicalization hub, enrolling approximately 1000 students annually, churning out a steady stream of trained militants. Shockingly, the report revealed that even Al-Qaeda’s former leader, Osama Bin Laden, had reportedly provided substantial financial support (Rs 10 million) for the construction of a mosque and guest house within the complex, underscoring the deep-seated ideological and logistical links between various terror outfits operating in the region. Crucially, and with direct implication for past atrocities, the Indian intelligence highlighted that the perpetrators of the horrific 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, including the captured terrorist Ajmal Kasab, received their foundational training at this LeT facility, allegedly at the behest of Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). Furthermore, key conspirators involved in the Mumbai attacks, such as David Headley and Tahawwur Rana, were also documented to have visited the site under the instructions of LeT’s top commander, Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi.

3. Sarjal/Tehra Kalan (JeM): The Launchpad for Infiltration

Strategically located in the Shakargarh Tehsil of Narowal District, Punjab, Pakistan, the JeM facility at Sarjal/Tehra Kalan serves as the primary launching base for terrorist infiltration attempts into Jammu & Kashmir. Operating from within the seemingly innocuous premises of a Primary Health Center (PHC) building in Tehra Kalan village, its proximity to the international border in the sensitive Samba sector – a mere 6 kilometers – provides a tactical advantage for cross-border movement. The intelligence report indicated that this facility actively supports the digging of tunnels for clandestine infiltration and facilitates the launch of drones used to airdrop arms, ammunition, and narcotics into Indian territory, further highlighting the evolving tactics employed by these terror groups.

4. Mehmoona Joya Facility, Sialkot (HM): Concealed Within Healthcare

The Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) facility situated in Mehmoona Joya, Sialkot, exemplifies the insidious tactic of utilizing civilian infrastructure for terrorist activities. Located inside the Bhutta Kotli Government Basic Health Unit in the Head Marala area, this facility is used as a staging point for infiltration attempts into the Jammu region. Senior commanders of Hizbul Mujahideen reportedly oversee the training of cadres in weapons handling and terrorist operations at this location. The report specifically named Commander Mohd. Irfan Khan @ Irfan Tanda, implicated in numerous attacks in the Jammu region, as the key figure overseeing this facility, which typically houses 20–25 active terrorists at any given time, operating under the guise of a healthcare institution.

5. Markaz Ahle Hadith Barnala, Bhimber (LeT): A Staging Area in PoJK

Located on the outskirts of Barnala town on Kote Jamel road in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK), this Lashkar-e-Taiba facility functions as a crucial staging area for militants preparing to infiltrate into the Poonch–Rajauri–Reasi sector of Jammu and Kashmir. Intelligence assessments suggest that Markaz Ahle Hadith Barnala can accommodate up to 150 trained cadres, providing them with final logistical support and instructions before their cross-border missions.

6. Markaz Abbas, Kotli (JeM): A Planning Hub Under NIA Scrutiny

Also known as Markaz Saidna Hazrat Abbas Bin Abdul Mutalib, this Jaish-e-Mohammad center located in Kotli, PoJK, is led by Hafiz Abdul Shakoor @ Qari Zarrar, a key JeM planner who is wanted by India’s National Investigation Agency (NIA) for his involvement in numerous terror-related conspiracies. With a capacity to accommodate 100–125 cadres, Markaz Abbas serves as a critical planning base for JeM operations specifically targeting the Poonch–Rajouri region, highlighting its strategic importance in orchestrating attacks in this sensitive area.

7. Maskar Raheel Shahid, Kotli (HM): A Veteran Training Ground

Identified as one of Hizbul Mujahideen’s oldest established facilities in the Kotli District of PoJK, Maskar Raheel Shahid possesses the capacity to house a significant number of terrorists, ranging from 150 to 200. Beyond basic arms training, this camp provides specialized instruction in advanced military skills, including sniper tactics, high-altitude warfare survival techniques, indicating a focus on preparing militants for more complex and challenging operational environments within Indian territory.

8. Shawai Nallah Camp, Muzaffarabad (LeT): A Legacy of Terror

Also known as Bait-ul-Mujahideen, this major Lashkar-e-Taiba facility is strategically situated near the Chelabandi bridge on the crucial Muzaffarabad-Neelum Road in PoJK. Operational since the early 2000s, its historical significance is underscored by its role as one of the training sites used by the terrorists who carried out the devastating 26/11 Mumbai attacks, further cementing LeT’s long-standing presence and operational reach in the region. The camp offers a comprehensive range of training, spanning religious indoctrination to advanced tactical and weapons handling, often conducted with the direct assistance of trainers from the Pakistani military, indicating a level of state complicity in the terror infrastructure. With a capacity to accommodate up to 250 cadres, it serves as a primary staging ground for infiltration attempts into North Kashmir.

9. Markaz Syedna Bilal, Muzaffarabad (JeM): A Transit Point to the Valley

Located opposite the symbolic Red Fort in Muzaffarabad, PoJK, this Jaish-e-Mohammad facility functions primarily as a transit camp for terrorists awaiting launch into Jammu & Kashmir. Housing between 50 to 100 cadres at any given time, it is reportedly run by Mufti Asghar Khan Kashmiri. Disturbingly, the intelligence report indicated the active involvement of Indian fugitives, such as Aashiq Nengroo, operating from this location, with specialized training and logistical support provided by Special Services Group (SSG) commandos from the Pakistani Army, further exposing the direct involvement of Pakistan’s military apparatus in facilitating cross-border terrorism.

A Systemic Threat: Concealment and Advanced Capabilities

The Indian Army’s report further highlighted the alarming trend of these training camps, detachments (“Detts.”), and launch pads being strategically co-located near sensitive civilian infrastructure, including military areas, Basic Health Units (BHUs), and Primary Health Centers (PHCs). This deliberate tactic provides a degree of cover and makes it more challenging to target these facilities without risking civilian casualties, a cynical exploitation of humanitarian spaces.

Moreover, the report revealed that these terror groups are equipped with sophisticated, military-grade communication systems, including LoRa, Ultra Sets, and Digital Mobile Radios (DMR), specifically designed to evade conventional technical surveillance methods employed by security agencies. Adding another layer of concern, the report stated that the Pakistan military actively supports these terror operations by enhancing the signal strength of Pak-TSP (Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited) across the International Border (IB) and the Line of Control (LoC), effectively facilitating secure and uninterrupted communication between handlers based in Pakistan and the infiltrated operatives active within Indian territory.

The example of the Sarjal–Tehra Kalan detachment housing a high-frequency (HF) communication setup was specifically cited, illustrating the capability of these groups to engage in secure planning and coordination for terrorist activities within India.

A Decisive Response to a Persistent Menace

Operation Sindoor, as evidenced by the Indian Army’s detailed report and visual documentation, represents a significant and direct response to the well-entrenched infrastructure of cross-border terrorism that India has long maintained is supported by Pakistan. The precision targeting of these nine key facilities underscores India’s commitment to proactively countering the persistent threat posed by these Pakistan-based terror organizations. The level of detail provided in the report aims to not only demonstrate the effectiveness of the operation but also to further expose the intricate network and the alleged complicity of elements within Pakistan in fostering regional instability. The implications of this operation on the already strained relations between the two nuclear-armed neighbors remain to be seen, but it undeniably marks a decisive escalation in India’s strategy to combat terrorism emanating from across its borders.
