According to RNC Research, a Republican organization, President Joe Biden has spent a large portion of his time as President outside of the White House, making up roughly 40% of his term in office.

The White House defends President’s vacations

The Republicans notably accused Biden of the same thing last year. The White House defended the President’s vacation time by saying he stays involved in his presidential responsibilities even while taking time off.

In its report, RNC Research claims that Biden took 532 vacation days in less than four years, accounting for about 40 per cent of his presidency. According to the report, the 81-year-old President’s  break is equal to 48 years of vacation for the typical American employee.

On average, a standard employee in the US is granted approximately 10 to 14 days of paid leave annually. During a career spanning 40 years, this equates to approximately one year of time off.

Biden’s time off in just over three years as president equates to what would take the average worker nearly half a century to accumulate, the report claims.

Biden recently spent 2 weeks at Rehoboth Beach and a private residence

According to the New York Times, President Biden recently spent two weeks at Rehoboth Beach and his private residence in Southern California as his political career comes to an end.

Sharing a video of Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden spending their time on the beach, the RNC Research, on September 1 tweeted, “Biden spent today — his 16th straight day on vacation — lounging on the beach. He has spent a total of 532 days (40.3% of his presidency) on vacation. Who’s running the country?”.

Ever since he was sworn in as President in January 2021, Biden has regularly traveled to his residences in Delaware and enjoyed extended vacations in different places. In the previous year, RNC Research released a report criticizing Biden, stating that up to August 23, 2023, he had been absent from office for 382 days or 40% of his time as president.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
