The announcement comes just days before the PKL 2025 player auction, scheduled for May 31 to June 1 in Mumbai.
Jaivir is replacing Ram Mehar Singh, who coached Giants to an 11th-place finish out of 12 teams lastย season.
With over three decades of experience, Jaivir is regarded as one of the most respected figures in Indian kabaddi. The franchiseโs goal for season XII is to assemble a fearless, robust, and title-contending squad.
Serving with the Sports Authority of India (SAI) since 1992, Jaivir has played a pivotal role in shaping the careers of numerous national and international kabaddi players. Under his guidance, Indian teams have clinched gold medals at major events, including the Asian Games, Kabaddi World Cup, and multiple other marquee tournaments.
โIโm excited to be joining Gujarat Giants. I look forward to developing a fearless and humble philosophy within the team, with the aim of making us one of the strongest contenders in the PKL. Iโm grateful to Adani Sportsline for placing their trust in me and giving me this exciting opportunity. Iโm eagerly looking forward to the PKL auction and building a strong, competitive squad,โ said Jaivir.
