Gujarat Titans, the IPL 2022 champions, have named Parthiv Patel as their assistant coach and batting coach in anticipation of the mega auction. Parthiv took over Gary Kirsten’s position, who departed the franchise after becoming the coach for Pakistan’s limited-overs team.
Prior to joining the Gujarat Titans, Parthiv Patel was linked with the Mumbai Indians in the role of their talent scout. The Gujarat franchise was delighted to welcome the ex-India wicketkeeper-batter and praised him for the extensive experience he offers.
Parthiv’s addition will significantly strengthen the franchise before the IPL 2025 mega auction, scheduled for November 24 and 25 in Jeddah.
Gujarat retained world class spinner Rashid Khan as their top choice for 18 crores, while Shubman Gill got a pay reduction and was retained at 16.5 crores. Sai Sudharsan was re-signed by the franchise for 8.5 crores, while Shahrukh Khan and Rahul Tewatia were kept for 4 crores each.

Parthiv, serving as the talent scout for Mumbai Indians, was frequently seen at domestic games and age-group competitions throughout the nation.
The wicketkeeper declared his retirement from every format of the sport in December 2020 and has since been occupied with scouting and commentary responsibilities. He closely monitors the national scene, rendering him a significant asset for the GT team as they strive to assemble another championship-winning roster in the forthcoming mega auction.
Parthiv’s connection with various IPL teams during his playing career will significantly benefit Gujarat Titans.
