Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while speaking in West Bengal, drew upon the cultural significance of Sindoor Khela to highlight India’s resilience against terrorism.

Addressing from what he referred to as “the land of Sindoor Khela,” a revered Bengali Hindu custom that honors marital integrity and female empowerment, PM Modi stated, “It’s important to discuss terrorism.”

He recognized the profound anger within the people of Bengal, highlighting the shared sorrow and resolve that emerged after the terrorist assault on April 22 in Pahalgam, which resulted in the deaths of 26 civilians.

In a direct and firm statement to Pakistan, the Prime Minister declared, “India will no longer tolerate any terrorist attack.”

Reiterating the country’s firm position, he stated that “the adversary will face severe consequences” for any future acts of hostility.

Referring to West Bengal as “the land of the Bengal Tiger,” PM Modi connected the state’s emblematic fierceness with India’s larger national determination. “This is the territory that knows how to resist,” he stated.

The Prime Minister made an important remark about the ongoing counter-terrorism efforts, asserting, “Operation Sindoor remains in effect,” signaling an ongoing and relentless pursuit of individuals involved in terrorist acts.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
