India vs England: Rishabh Pant Injury puts India on the backfoot
India’s injury concerns deepened on the first day of the India vs England Test in Manchester. Rishabh Pant left the field after getting struck on the foot during his batting. The southpaw was clearly in distress and had significant swelling, causing him to be unable to walk prior to being retired hurt.

A report on Rishabh Pant’s health will decide his involvement for the remainder of the match. If Pant is unable to play, India might rely on Dhruv Jurel, who took over wicketkeeping duties while Pant healed from a finger injury at Lord’s.
