It’s a straightforward equation, and while India may be the favorites, England has developed a strong tendency to successfully chase these high totals against the Indian side.

The advantage for the Indian seam unit is that this time the pitch offers significant assistance, featuring a green surface and somewhat cloudy skies. None of the level surface and warmth that enabled England to dance their way to victory at Headingley in the opening match of this series, or at Edgbaston three years back.

India vs England: Siraj’s last ball wicket shifted the momentum

In a tense moment of the match, Mohammad Siraj delivered a crucial breakthrough on the very last ball of his spell, reigniting India’s hopes. Just when the opposition looked set to take control, Siraj’s sharp pace and accuracy dismantled the batter’s defense, sending the stumps flying.

The timely wicket shifted the momentum, lifting the team’s morale and energizing the crowd. It was a defining moment that reminded everyone of the unpredictable nature of cricket — and how one delivery can change the course of the game.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
