Even though California has not officially declared its US presidential election results after 19 days, billionaire Elon Musk criticized the process, highlighting how India successfully manages massive voting processes during Lok Sabha elections.
Musk highlighted that India completed the count of 640 million votes within a single day, whereas the US state is still in the process of counting.
Musk retweeted a post discussing the counting of votes in India and stated, “India counted 640 million votes in 1 day. California is still counting votes,” along with a facepalm emoji

The majority of elections in the state are carried out through mail, necessitating additional time and resources for validating mail-in ballots in comparison to in-person voting. Every ballot needs to be authenticated and handled individually, which is a more detailed process compared to just scanning it at a polling place.
The state also permits voters to fix error-ridden ballots, like missing signatures, incorrect placements of signatures, or improperly enclosed ballots, until December 1.
