New Delhi:

In the midst of all the crazy hitting and run-scoring in India’s innings in SuperSport Park in Centurion, India’s middle order was seen struggling in the middle, as Skipper Suryakumar Yadav, Rinku Singh and Hardik Pandya had a quiet outing on the pitch.

After coming in at number five, Hardik Pandya faced 16 deliveries and scored only 18 runs, before falling victim of Keshav Maharaj as he missed one all ends up and was struck on the pad.

As a result Pandya decided to take a referral, but in a strange moment, started walking off the pitch before DRS review was even completed, and in fact even before ball-tracking began to take place on the giant screen.

Pandya watched as the screen confirmed that he had gotten no bat on it, and feeling that he was caught plumb in front since he had not managed to get a thin edge, decided to walk off the field even before needing the TV umpire to  send the information to the on-field umpire.

Later in the game a similar situation occurred when the South African young Gun Tristan Stubbs started to walk off during an unsuccessful review after being caught LBW by Axar Patel.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
