Star Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah was selected in the ICC Test team of the year after achieving his best-ever performance in a calendar year in the longest format.

On Friday, January 24, the ICC (International Cricket Council) announced the men’s team of the year for the longest format, featuring three Indians in the XI.

Bumrah was adjudged Player of the Series in Australia

Bumrah had a record-breaking 2024, finishing the year as the format’s leading wicket-taker with 71 wickets from 13 matches (26 innings) at an impressive average of 14.92, including five instances of 5-wicket hauls. His remarkable achievements propelled him to the summit of the ICC Test rankings, where he also set the highest ratings ever recorded by an Indian bowler.

Jaiswal amassed 1478 runs across 15 matches (29 innings) with an average of 54.74, including three centuries and nine half-centuries.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
