Plane carrying dead bodies of 45 Indians killed in Kuwait fire lands in Kerala
A special Indian Air Force plane carrying the mortal remains of the 45 Indians murdered in the Kuwait building fire tragedy left departure for Kerala early Friday.
It landed at Cochin International Airport about 10:30 a.m. today.
Union Minister Kirti Vardhan Singh, who had previously confirmed the aircraft’s takeoff, was also on board.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan arrived at Cochin International Airport shortly after the flight landed.
Previously, police and ambulance teams were deployed at Cochin International Airport.

Kuwait vows full support in repatriating mortal remains of victims
On Thursday, Kuwaiti authorities identified the bodies of 45 Indians and three Filipinos killed in a devastating fire in a building housing international workers.
Kuwait has promised to immediately examine the event and to provide full support in repatriating the victims’ lifeless remains.
On Wednesday, a fire broke out at the seven-story building where 196 migrant workers were sleeping in the southern city of Mangaf, killing at least 49 and injuring 50 more.
The Kuwait Fire Force stated that the tragic fire was caused by an electrical short circuit.

According to a statement from the force, the determination was reached after a field assessment of the scene and the structure where the fire started yesterday.
Meanwhile, Kuwaiti authorities were conducting DNA testing on the bodies of those killed in the horrific fire in Mangaf, southern Kuwait.
