December of the year 2019. After being in power for only four days, Devendra Fadnavis stepped down as Maharashtra Chief Minister because of changes in alliances. Confronting his ex-partner Uddhav Thackeray, Fadnavis recited a well-known couplet and assured a return. Five years passed, and he fulfilled his promise.

By 3 pm, the Mahayuti coalition, which includes the BJP, NCP led by Ajit Pawar, and Shiv Sena led by Eknath Shinde, has secured victory in 54 seats and is ahead in 174 others. The BJP is on the verge of winning 130 seats, compared to the 105 seats they won in 2019.

Devendra Fadnavis’ speech in the Maharashtra Assembly in 2019, which has gone viral on social media, is pointing towards a significant victory for the BJP and Mahayuti.

Devendra Fadnavis and Uddhav Thackeray were engaged in a verbal battle. After the BJP-Shiv Sena pact was broken due to the battle for the Chief Minister’s seat, the two allies from the 2019 elections became adversaries.

Fadnavis, who had just been appointed the Leader of Opposition in the House, promised, “Mi punha yein (I will come back again)”.

“Mera paani utarte dekh kinare par ghar mat bana lena, main samandar hoon, laut kar vapis aaunga ”

“Believing the water has receded, avoid constructing your home near the shore; as I am the ocean, and I will return,” that’s what Fadnaviss meant.

The video of Fadnavis’ speech in 2019 spread widely as BJP and its partners neared victory in Maharashtra. Multiple individuals on social media reposted the quote and praised Devendra Fadnavis for his successful election.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
