The Hyundai Creta EV will be introduced in India during the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, set to run from January 17 to January 22.
India Today sources suggest that the Hyundai Creta EV is expected to be launched in India on January 17. It will compete with the Mahindra BE 6e, Tata Curvv EV, MG ZS EV, and the forthcoming Maruti Suzuki e Vitara, which is built on the Maruti Suzuki eVX concept.
Hyundai’s third electric SUV in India will be the Creta EV. Currently, the company is offering the Ioniq 5 for sale. The Kona Electric has been discontinued at this time.
Hyundai’s Sriperumbudur factory in Tamil Nadu will produce the Creta EV. The Chief Manufacturing Officer of the company, Gopalakrishnan CS, stated to India Today that they have begun preparing at the plant for the production of the Creta EV.

Hyundai Creta EV design features
The Creta EV will keep most of the design features of the Creta’s internal combustion engine (ICE) variant, but will have some significant alterations like a closed front grille, updated front and rear bumpers, and aerodynamic alloy wheels.
The inside of the car will include a comparable dashboard design, dual 10.25-inch screens for both the entertainment system and driver’s information, a fresh three-spoke steering wheel, as well as added elements such as Level 2 ADAS, six airbags, a 360-degree camera, and ventilated seats.
Hyundai Creta EV battery details
The specifications of the Creta EV have not been officially announced yet. However, we anticipate it will come with an LFP battery of approximately 50kWh. The actual distance the vehicle can travel on one complete charge might fall anywhere from 450km to 500km. The electric SUV will also offer quick charging capabilities.
