Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal declared on Saturday that if the party wins the Assembly elections, it will launch a program offering free electricity and water to tenants.
During a press conference on Saturday, Kejriwal stated, “We have provided free electricity and water to the people of Delhi. It is regrettable that tenants are not able to receive these benefits. Today, I would like to declare that if our government is established following the elections, we will implement a system to provide free electricity and water for tenants.”
“The majority of tenants in Delhi hail from Purvanchal, and a significant number of them are quite poor. They encounter financial difficulties as they are unable to access the subsidies. To tackle this, we will start supplying free electricity and water to the tenants as well if we regain power,” he added.
The AAP, striving for a third consecutive win in the capital, has rolled out various initiatives to attract voters in anticipation of the February 5 elections.
