BJP had won Haryana Assembly Polls with majority on Tuesday
On Tuesday, the BJP made a surprising comeback to surpass the Congress and achieved a record-breaking 48 seat win, foiling the grand old party’s revival efforts in the Haryana Assembly elections. Despite exit polls predicting a Congress victory, the BJP is set to form the state government for the third time in a row.
The BJP’s strong performance in Haryana allowed it to overcome voter dissatisfaction and secure a third consecutive term in government. The party secured victory in 48 out of the 90 Assembly seats. A party or alliance needs 46 seats to form a government in the state.
Nayab Singh Saini contested from Ladwa constituency, defeating Congress’s Mewa Singh by 16,054 votes.
