Two newly elected MLAs join BJP, a day after Haryana Election Results
The two recently elected independent MLAs of Haryana, Rajesh Joon and Devender Kadyan, officially became members of the BJP on Wednesday, increasing the party’s number of seats to 50 following their impressive win in the state.
BJP MP Naveen Jindal and his mother Savitri Jindal, who is the wealthiest woman in India, met with Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and BJP MP Biplab Kumar Deb in New Delhi. Savitri Jindal is also an Independent MLA from Haryana’s Hisar constituency.

Haryana BJP chief Mohan Lal Badoli said the three Independent MLAs of Haryana, including Savitri Jindal, had expressed their willingness to back the BJP.
“All the three independent MLAs are very happy with BJP’s victory and they are willing to support the party. They are in Delhi and are meeting the high command,” Badoli said.

Rajesh Joon and and Devender Kadyan won from Bahadurgarh and Ganaur respectively
Rajesh Joon ran for election in Bahadurgarh and won against BJP’s Dinesh Kaushik with a lead of 41,999 votes. Devender Kadyan, a former BJP member, ran as an independent candidate and won over Congress’s Kuldip Sharma by a margin of 35,209 votes in the Ganaur constituency.
Savitri Jindal, the mother of Kurukshetra BJP MP Naveen Jindal, had also contested the election as an independent from Hisar. She defeated Ram Niwas Rara of Congress by 18,941 votes.
