Design Changes
-
Proximity sensor relocated for a cleaner internal layout
-
Printed ‘G’ logo instead of the engraved design seen on the Pro models
-
Redesigned microphone grille for easier manufacturing and reduced complexity
While the Pixel Buds 2a will include active noise cancellation, they will skip Silent Seal 2.0, meaning passive noise isolation won’t be as strong. However, spatial audio support will be available.

A Successor to the Pixel Buds A-Series
The Pixel Buds 2a will replace the Pixel Buds A-Series, launched in June 2021. While the A-Series offered great value at the time, competition in the budget earbuds segment has since intensified. The Pixel Buds 2a aim to close the gap with improved hardware, updated design, and new features all while keeping the same price point as their predecessor.
