The murder of a journalist, who was shot dead at his home in the early hours of Friday in the Araria district, was allegedly committed by four persons, according to Bihar Police. On Saturday, the police said that two of the four arrested men were involved in the murder of Vimal Yadav.

Bihar Police said, “Four of the accused, namely Vipin Yadav, Bhavesh Yadav, Ashish Yadav and Umesh Yadav have been arrested. Two accused, namely Rupesh Yadav and Kranti Yadav, are in Araria jail and the Police are taking them on remand. Two accused are absconding.”

Based on the complaint of Vimal’s father, a case was registered. Four of the eight suspects identified in the FIR were arrested earlier today.

In 2019, the accused is also allegedly killed Vimal Yadav’s brother. The only witness in that case was Vimal, who felt tremendous pressure to alter his statement.

Several people were upset over the murder, including Chirag Paswan, the head of the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), who criticized Nitish Kumar, the chief minister of Bihar, for failing to uphold law and order.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
