A 400 km range on a single charge and a length of 4.1 meters make the Škoda Epiq an incredibly adaptable vehicle. It also has 490 liters of cargo capacity. Furthermore, the price, which will be about 25,000 euros, will be just as striking as the vehicle.
Design
The Tech-Deck Face, a contemporary take on the iconic Koda radiator grille, is one of the characteristics of the brand’s new design language. Radar for adaptive cruise control and a camera are among the crucial electrical components hidden behind the lustrous black exterior. T-shaped LED daytime running lights encircle the radiator grille, while the main headlights with Matrix LED technology and a cubist-inspired design are located below.
The metallic Moon White body of the 4.1-meter-long design study contrasts sharply with orange accents, such the roof rails. Another characteristic of Škodas that is retained in the Modern Solid design language is the car’s unique tornado line on the flanks. This line, which emphasizes the car’s space while also improving its dynamism, distinguishes the lower body from the glazed upper body in the design study for the future electric vehicle.
Price
Measuring only 4.1 metres in length and expected to see the light of day in 2025, the Skoda Epiq will cost around Euro 25,000 (Rs 19 lakh-23 lakh). In Europe, the Epiq EV will replace the Skoda Kamiq and VW T-Cross (our Kushaq and Taigun, respectively), and we could get a lower cost version of the same in the future.
Interior
The interior of the cabin is even more intriguing, particularly the small, simple instrument panel that appears to be there just to display necessary information. Like with many Tesla models, the enormous central touchscreen will provide access to all additional information. The dash top and lower ledge of the Skoda Epiq, which will be the first production car with a minimalist Modern Solid interior, are carried over from existing Skoda models.
Name and Size
Like all of Skoda’s BEVs, the Epiq moniker begins with an E to denote that it is a battery-electric vehicle and ends with a Q to designate that it is an SUV. The Epiq, or A-zero BEV as Skoda refers to it, will be constructed in association with Volkswagen and is anticipated to have a 490-liter boot and a rather lengthy 2,600mm wheelbase. Expect a lot more inside room as compared to an ICE-based four-meter-long SUV because this is a born-electric vehicle with a small nose.
