Security Measures Amid Protest

The Noida Police implemented CrPC section 144 and issued a traffic advisory due to the farmers’ movement. Barriers were erected at Delhi borders and key locations like Kisan Chowk. Each vehicle underwent thorough inspection, leading to slow-moving traffic. The police ensure continuous monitoring of traffic to ensure safety and security.

Farmers’ Protest and Route Diversions

Under the banner of BKP, the farmers gathered at the Mahamaya Flyover in Noida before proceeding towards Parliament. Their demands include hiked compensation and developed plots for land acquired by local authorities. Traffic diversions were enforced on several routes in Noida and Greater Noida to accommodate the tractor march and minimize disruptions.

Reasons Behind Farmers’ Protest

Farmers in Noida and Greater Noida have been protesting since December 2023, advocating for increased compensation and developed plots for land acquisition. Groups like Sanyukt Kisan Morcha and Akhil Bharatiya Kisan Sabha demand 10% of Abadi land. The prolonged protest has seen farmers camping outside government offices, seeking resolution to their grievances.

Routes to Avoid and Traffic Advisory

Noida Police issued a traffic advisory, urging commuters to avoid specific routes due to the farmers’ movement. Traffic bans and diversions were implemented on key stretches to manage the flow of vehicles. Emergency vehicles were prioritized for safe passage, and a dedicated traffic helpline number was provided for assistance.

The intensified security measures by Noida Police amid the farmers’ protest march to Parliament aim to ensure public safety and manage traffic disruptions. The protest reflects the farmers’ persistent demands for fair compensation and land development, prompting the authorities to implement traffic diversions and security protocols.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
