AAP workers detained during protest at BJP HQ
The Swati Maliwal Assault Case took a fresh turn late Saturday night when Tis Hazari Court in Delhi sentenced the accused, Bibhav Kumar, to five days in police custody. Following the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Kejriwal’s personal assistant, Arvind Kejriwal called for a major Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) protest at the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) headquarters in Delhi.
Section 144 has been implemented at the DDU Marg, where the BJP headquarters are located, and multiple AAP politicians have been held by the Delhi Police since the demonstration began.
Kejriwal emphasized “Operation Jhaadu” throughout the demonstration, claiming that it is the current ruling party’s new goal to detain all of the Aam Aadmi Party’s leaders.

Section 144 imposed at DDU Marg
As previously stated, Section 144 was implemented during the continuing AAP protest, and party workers were detained. Harsha Vardhan Mandava, DCP Delhi Central, stated, “Based on the information we received via social media and other channels, we have made preventive arrangements on DDU Marg to ensure that law and order are maintained at all costs.” We are focused and committed to deploying appropriate security forces and have barricades in place to deter any attempts to disturb law and order.” He additionally stated, “Section 144 has been imposed on DDU Marg and there is no permission for any kind of protest here.”
Kejriwal talks about ‘Operation Jhaadu’
Talking about BJP’s Operation Jhaadu, Kejriwal said, “The BJP has launched ‘Operation Jhaadu’ to prevent us from becoming too powerful and posing a threat to them. AAP’s top leaders will be detained under ‘Operation Jhaadu’, and their bank accounts will be frozen in the coming days. ED’s lawyer has stated in court that AAP’s bank accounts will be seized soon after the election. He claims that freezing the accounts now will garner sympathy.After the election, they will freeze our accounts, empty out our offices, and bring us to the streets. These are the three strategies proposed by the BJP.”

Heavy security was deployed outside the BJP office after Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal issued a call to march to the party’s headquarters amid the ongoing blame game between the AAP and Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal over her claimed attack.
Some AAP workers were detained by police when they attempted to march to the BJP headquarters to protest the detention of party officials.
