On Wednesday, the Delhi High Court approved bail for Neelam Azad and Mahesh Kumawat, who were both detained in connection with the Parliament security breach incident that occurred on December 13, 2023.
The court, upon delivering its ruling, instructed the accused to provide a bail bond of Rs 50,000 each, accompanied by two sureties of the same amount.
Azad, together with Sagar Sharma, Manoranjan D, and Amol Shinde, is charged with arranging a demonstration that used colored smoke canisters.
Under the bail conditions, the court has prohibited the accused from providing interviews or making any public comments regarding the case and prevented them from sharing anything on social media related to the incident in question.

The court has prohibited them from exiting the city of Delhi and ordered them to check in at the assigned police station every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 10 am.
A bench of justices, including Justice Subramonium Prasad and Justice Harish Vaidyanathan Shankar, issued the order that had been reserved on May 21.
The Parliament Security Breach Case
Sharma and Manoranjan leaped into the Lok Sabha chamber from the spectators’ gallery, while Azad and Shinde demonstrated outside.
The four suspects were promptly arrested on December 13, 2023, while Kumawat and Jha turned themselves in to the police on December 14, and both were referred to the special cell.

The incident occurred on the anniversary of the 2001 terrorist assault on Parliament and raised concerns regarding security weaknesses.
The accused was charged by the police under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Police stated that Azad had colluded with other co-defendants to carry out the terrorist act aimed at instilling fear in the minds of Parliament members, staff, visitors, and the millions viewing the live broadcast of the House on television.
